Indexing and Abstracting

An essential step in the publication process is an abstracting and indexing (A&I) service. By giving each article a subject heading (descriptors or keywords) and making them searchable in the product’s database, the journal indexes information at the article level. These services also index other bibliographic information about journal articles, like the authors, titles, and dates they were published.
